The first thing you should try is to spray them off with a strong burst of
water. Also, doing nothing is an option. I know that sounds hard, but I
really have found that if you're patient, many aphid infestations will just
pass, and your plants weather it without serious damage. A predator bug
will come along and take care of things and your plants will be fine.
Unless your garden is really out of balance (lots of previous chemical
intervention) it really should be okay to just give them a spray with plain
water and let things take care of themselves. It's worked for me on
several occassions. Also, aphids seem to be worse on plants that are
stressed. Perhaps an application of compost tea could help bolster the
tomatoes. Make sure to get plenty on the foliage. Good luck!
