I need to fertilize my corn and have a forty pound bag of 10-10-10 garden fertilizer in my garage. The bag states that 1 pound of fertilizer covers 100 square feet. Since each 4 X 4 garden square equals 16 square feet I want to apply a little less than 1/4 pound of fertilizer per square (i.e. 1 pound fertilizer per 100 sq ft = 1/4 pound fertilizer per 25 sq ft). I have no way of weighing fertilizer. Does anyone have a suggestion for how much fertilizer to apply to get the recommended application rate? How much is 1/4 pound of fertilizer?? Thanks, Ron ( From sunny South Carolina, but I'm not too bright) *************************************************************************** To unsubscribe, send to: listserv@umslvma.umsl.edu the body message: unsubscribe sqft See http://www.umsl.edu/~silvest/garden/sqft.html for archive, FAQ and more.
