I use wire to make hoops....You are supposed to use #9 wire, but that is
pretty thick and hard to bend properly.  I purchased #12 and some even
thinner and it works really well.  Look in Gardener's Supply Catalog and
you'll see what they look like.  You can even use that small wire fencing to
make the hoops.
