I make supports from 48 inch welded wire fencing (the spacing
in the fencing were 2 inches by 4 inches).
For a one foot width I cut a piece of fencing about 30 inches wide,
and bent it into a dome shape in the middle and straight on the sides
to extend into the soil 3-4 inches on each side. It made nice sturdy
tunnel about 1 foot high and 4 feet long. I cut a piece of row cover
about 3 feet wide and 6 feet long to go over the tunnel. I fastened
it to the tunnel with clothes pins.
You can very the length or width as needed. Experiment!
Good Luck!
