Is it not true that mulch applied ON TOP of the soil, whether sawdust,
straw, grass clippings.....
tend to rot in place without robbing N from the soil below?
I thought that this was one of the truisms of the "Mulch Culch."

If I've missed something, pls adv. B4 I lay down my grass clipping mulch.
