Mulch

Hi all,
I have some (actually lots) of pine bark nuggets left over from a flower bed
I've built. I was wondering if the pine bark would work as mulch for the
sqft garden - or would it be allright to use with some vegetables and not
others, etc. - or even as a mulch between the beds themselves.
Thanks in advance,
Linda
