Please make sure you test his recipes on a small sample of your plants
before you spray all of them.
It will probably be cheaper and less risky for you to just *buy*
MiracleGro.
Of course, you could also try making compost tea. I suspect that it
will create a healthier end product for you than either Mr. Baker's
solutions or MiracleGro will create, although I have not done a
controlled test, so I can't say with scientific certainty.
Compost Tea: Take one garbage can. Fill with water. Take one old
pillowcase. Fill with composted manure, humus, etc. Put into the
garbage can full of water. Let sit for two weeks. Warning--this
will stink to high heaven, so keep it covered. Do not drink it. :)
When two weeks have passed, spray this on your plants and lawn at a one
part compost tea to nine parts water ratio. Spray every week to every
month, depending on what your plants like. For $3.00 at your local
Home Depot you can buy the humus and manure. You could go to a feed
store and purchase some alfalfa pellets or chopped alfalfa to add to
the mix. All of it will help.
