It really depends on what type of soil you have. I think that in clay
soil the water travels farther than in sandy soil. Is this true folks?
I think I remember reading something about this.
The one problem I had with soaker hose was in a 50 foot long rose bed.
It did a good job of watering them, except that the water flow was
uneven along the whole line of soaker hose. I have now gone to those
laser drilled in-line emitter type of hose. However, now my problem is
that my water pressure is too great and it pops the connectors of the
hose off. I'm going to have to install a pressure regulator I guess on
each valve. Don't know how to do this though.
