I truly don't mean to knock a product that is helpful to many. Plus, I know
several farmers who use a hundred of the Wall O Waters. But you know, in my
first use with a half dozen this year, I didn't find the WOW's worked very
well.
I tried to follow the directions carefully: warmed the soil first, started
partially full, etc. However, those six plants sat there looking sad.
The balance of my tomato starts I continued to grow out under lights, then
into my cold frame, and finally into the ground later under a low plastic
tunnel.
At this point, the plants that were transplanted under the tunnel are now
twice as high as the ones that were settled into the WOW's.
I'm sure that in July I won't find any difference in the two sets, but the
tunnel tomatoes sure started better.
Again, it's just my one experience with WOW, not criticism.
If anyone has some tips on how I can do better with them, please let me know.
Thanks. -Ted
