Janet,
I'm hoping I have luck. About 25 years ago
when I was growing up in South Jersey, my grandmother always went to farm
markets where she could specifically get Jenny Linds. I never knew most
canteloupes had orange flesh until we couldn't find anyone who grew these
anymore. (Jenny Linds are kind of greenish inside.) They are a lot
sweeter, too, and it took me years to realize no matter how ripe, the orange
ones were never going to taste like that. I am PSYCHED for these melons, and
hope I am not disappointed!
Erica
