Yesterday listserv, today majordomo, next week perhaps yet another server. I just wanted to say that I am not the least bit disturbed by these changes. When I weigh them against all of the benefits that I have received from the sqft list and all of the wonderful friends that I have found here, they are nothing. I just want to thank Melissa for giving me the opportunity to take a small part in the sqft list. I don't think that many understand the difficulty of finding a home for an e-mail list today. The servers at most of the universities are loaded. We are very fortunate to have Melissa's interest and help. We seem to have forgotten that it was the universities who pioneered internet e-mail lists, not AOL. For all who may not quite understand what is happening, you will probably not even know that anything has changed, with the "repro" exception that Melissa has already noted. But you will find a problem if you try to unsubscribe and do not use the majordomo address. I have consulted the Old Farmers Almanac and "today" is the day to go to your Address Book and change the SQFT COMMANDS address to majordomo@lists.umsl.edu I realize that this will not help you to grow sqft beans but I just felt that it was something that needed to be said. Thanks Melissa. oldjohn@juno.com John Orwick El Monte, CA [20 miles east of Los Angeles]
