Square Foot Gardening List - http://www.flinet.com/~gallus/sqft.html
I am growing broccoli for the first time in my garden. Something is eating
them BIG time. I noticed the same kind of holes in my hollyhocks ( I don't
know if there is a connection). Everything else in the garden is looking
Ok. Well maybe the swiss chard is a bit nibbled, so are the mustard greens,
they pulled through it. The new leaves are pretty healthy.
The Broccoli is biting the dust. I have one plant that has been stripped of
all of its leaves. I did some research, and the answer was to put seven on
the plants.
I really don't want to do that....I don't want to kill everything in my
garden....I also was told to use ivory liquid soap on the bugs. I can't
find liquid ivory soap...will Simple Green do? I already have it here...and
they say it is biodegradable.
The holes are in the middle of the leaves...until there isn't a middle
anymore...then the whole leaf is gone.
Bug gurus...I am sending out a message that is mighty pitiful.
Please tell me what you think.
Peg
