To all list members. I recieved this message from Suzy and Mel and wanted to
pass it along to all of you.

The Square Foot Gardening Foundation regrets to announce the death of Gail
Bartholomew Osgood, daughter of Mel Bartholomew, after a long illness.  As a
Director of the Foundation, Gail was especially interested in the "Garden in
Every School" program.

After graduating from Green Mountain College in Vermont, Gail became an
elementary school teacher in Chevy Chase, MD.  She was involved in many
special projects involving gardening, cooking, library and science.
"Culinary Kids", an after school special class teaching the fine art of
preparing and serving family meals, was her original creation.

Gail would be pleased to know of all of your continued interest and support
of Square Foot Gardening and all its possibilities.
