I'm in zone 7, so you may not get much use form my info.

I have all that you mention plus, 2 kinds of onion from seed (an experiment
to grow storage onions too far south [I'm trying Rossa di milano and an
heirloom bottle shaped red onion]), garlic (a hard and a soft neck), sugar
snap peas (2 varieties), rutabagas, cabbage (you can harvest as greens
before they head up), brussels sprouts (actually planted in the spring, an
experiment I don't recommend as it is a waste of space 'cause they don't
grow mush till late summer anyhow), mustard, and kale.

I have heard that I can keep tomatoes, peppers, and basil going if I
protect from frost. We get a frost in mid October, but it can stay above
freezing most of the time until December. Even then you get 70 degree days
even into January. Or not. So I think I'll get some row cover an try.

I will bring a couple of bell peppers inside in pots this year. I hear
they are tender perrenials and can get a real quick start if you do this.

Ciao,

Mike
