broccoli buggies

Yikes! My broccoli crop has been decimated by liitle green caterpillars - i
picked off about 8 of them this morning - I still have a few broccolis left
- any suggestions how to rid them - This is my first bug infestation as I
usually don't get buggies on my city rooftop garden - ive seen soap and
water posted as a common way to rid buggies - will this work with my little
green guys -
