Square Foot Gardening List - http://www.flinet.com/~gallus/sqft.html
Hi, guys and gals!
Somebody asked me why I'm burying a plastic liter bottle in the center of
each planting barrel. It's for watering. This way I can water the plants
in the barrel once a week in the summer, and not lose much to evaporation.
I'll try to reduce evaporation by having mulch on the top, too.

I'm anticipating that in the summer of 2000, we may be relying on stored
water, ands so will be very conserving in its use. We will water the
plants with greywater from after washing dishes, clothes, ourselves. (BTW,
Can anyone recommend what kinds of soaps/detergents can/cannot be used in
greywater for irrigating plants?)
Thanks in advance,
Julianne
