Square Foot Gardening List - http://www.flinet.com/~gallus/sqft.html
You might think I am crazy, but I pick my tomatoes early, because I hate to
lose them, by rotting or falling off. My husband is always commenting on
how they would taste sooo much better if I would let them ripen on the vine,
but I have just lost too many that way.
The reason I am writing...I pick them when they have a bit of color.
I just put them in a basket on the kitchen counter and they ripen within a
couple of days. I think they taste just as good as vine ripened. If my
husband didn't know I did this, I don't think he would know the difference.
It's like when I put decaf coffee beans in with the regular ones.... he
never knows the difference.
We live in California, in a zone 8 so I don't know if this makes any
difference.
