Yep the bucket of water works.  My children had a beautiful flop eared
bunny, it the found a bucket I was soaking, trying to clean it out.  Very
sad.

But I might say it is a pretty "clean" way to catch a rat.

Just get someone else to empty it for you!  Icky!
