Thanks, Peg! I've been real opposed to using snail bait. I don't like
dumping poison into the earth. Same thing with the ground squirrels and
rabbits. There are people around here that poison them, but when they crawl
above ground and die the birds that eat them start dying, too. And we've got
plenty of domesticated animals around -- just doesn't seem right to use
poison to make the earth do something it wasn't intended to do out here.
Of course, if we'd quit watering and let the land go back to nature, we
wouldn't have snails either. That's the way the desert was designed.
I WILL check out Sluggo -- I hate picking those things out of the garden.
