Hmmm. I use a variant of b for all mine regardless of color.
I put them in shallow cardboard boxes (open top) with a single
layer of newspaper wrapped each one so they don't touch.  Top
of each tomato is open to the world.  Have to inspect all the tomatoes
every other day to remove any that get ripe, and the occassional one
that needs to go straight to the compost.  Worked fine for most of them.
All the tomatos were used.  Though I did have a recipe book for
green tomatos so I was often picking through the boxs specifically
to get a red for the salad and a green for the salsa...  -
