I think everyone who sends pics is just trying to be helpful. I also stated "it might be" and included my pic as a comparison. Writing the company is a good idea. I also will buy a new cultivar if all the details look close in pics and plant it right next to the iris in question! It is very easy to compare that way and of course they will bloom at the same time typically and that helps determine also. Were all in this together....
Hi Linda That is exactly way I did not say that it
was Heavenly Encore! -----Original Message----- Interesting, I grow heavenly encore Bonnie and at its peak, it doesn't
have the color depth or combinations that this noid seems to present. :)

Hi Bob,
I would
like to go on record as saying this. I do not think that this is Mega
Bucks. I just got on my computer a few days ago and on your web site for
the very first time and noticed that the iris named Lilac Wine was not Lilac
Wine. Not once did I say, oh that looks like Mega Bucks. It is
better to label something unknown then to just turn it in to another misnamed
iris. Is there anyway that you can contact the grower where you bought it
and ask what it might be. I grow close to 2000 and I know all of them by
name. If I can help in anyway please let me know. One I did grow
that it close to this BUT I'm not saying it is this one is Heavenly Encore.
Check it out on page 58 of Cooley's 2007 catalog. Some iris fade and
change color as the bloom ages. If you want to contact me off list please
do so i*@syix.com.
Good Luck!! Bonnie in Ca.
-----Original
Message-----
I had received this a few years back from another
grower labeled as Lilac Wine. I never checked to see if it was right and
discovered this year by an observant peruser of the my web site that it in fact
was not Lilac Wine. It is a great seller, just want to put the right name
to it. Anyone have any ideas. Thanks in advance for the help.
Bob
