Thank you for posting those lovely photos, Linda. Ah spring.
I love dianthus, especially the fragrant ones (Sweet William and clump
forming fringed types) and they are one group of plants that absolutely
thrive in my growing conditions.
The irises may not like it here very much, but these guys show up as
volunteers just about anywhere there is bare soil anywhere near
established plants or where plants have been in recent years.
