Re: TB: edge


Some of my seedlings have a shimmering, sparkling rim, but they look
like the pigment is missing, maybe even a layer or more of tissue. Like
you say, Donald, prettier from a short distance. More like glittering
transparent Kleenex, or like some of the petals look after pigment
extraction with hot water. As if the glitter was on the entire petal,
but pigment was missing in a narrow rim that lacks thickness/substance.

<They look fine with a nice effect from a
couple of feet away, but on close examination the tissue simply looks
dead - sort of the color and substance of a paper sack. It may not be
the case here, since these seem to have a metallic finish. Mine sure
didn't have that. But the question is still valid on how it works.
