Thank you so much for your very helpful and informative response.

 

Don't let the numbers fool you, however, as I purchased my first Iris' about a year ago.  There were a few here when I purchased the home but the overwhelming majority I have purchased since moving in.  So, I think I'm still a newbie but not for long as I'm trying to learn all I can about the georgous flowers.
