Harold, Thank you for the info. My problem in
this case was not being able to crop it since it was a full flower in the image
and little free space around. I had used my camera with close up lens. I really
wanted to reduce the size more than anything else. Thanks to your help and those
who responded I think I now have it.

do you have? With that information, someone can probably advise you about ways
to reduce the file size. With an image editor, the three easiest techniques are
to crop only the part of interest, reduce the resolution and use a higher
compression.Just reducing the resolution from 150 to 75 would probably make
the file size acceptable for posting. I don't know if there is a general
consensus, but I try to keep any image I post to no more than 65 kb. According
to my email reader, your image was 238 kb. If people want a larger image for
some reason, they can privately request it be resent to them privately.
