The color combination on Gambler is really
dramatic! I'd like to imagine it with Flounces actually. It's a
funny thing: horns I can pass up, but not nice large flounces. Many
of Blyth's introductions have been slow growers for me...................
but I'm willing to give any promising cross a good shot. I've never
grown Sierra Grande either. (I wonder if it would do
well here). You wouldn't happen to have a photo of that one, would
you?

It just
occured to me that I'm growing some HOWDY DO x GAMBLER seedlings and
growth so far is far from impressive so I'm not sure I'd reccomend
it as a parent but I'll reserve judgement until they establish
serious root systems and bloom. My WILD JASMINE X SA seedlings
also fall into this class. I like it when seedlings grow
like heck. All of my SIERRA GRANDE seedlings are super big
growers, this is important here North of Montreal zone
