Iris cretensis - finally!


Usually this species is the first to bloom, and indeed if there is a warm 
spell around January it will do just that.  Several times it has bloomed 
around Christmas & New Years, outdoors!  However, this year it waited until 
today (April 10th) to do its thing.  In this intense heat (75+) it probably 
won't last long.  OTOH, there should be plenty of pollinators around, so 
maybe I'll get some seed for SIGNA.
