Back on an old subject. I was reading and checking my pictures and I an now
convinced the iris that I grew from SIGNA seed marked I. marsica is indeed
I. marsica.
According to "A Guide to Species Irises their Identification and
Cultivation" I. marsica has subequal filiment to anther. It also has a
white beard tipped yellow and a purple marked inflated inflated spath.
I. croatica has a filament much longer than the anther and a pale blue
tipped yellow beard. It also has a green spath.
I am posting the pictures to the Iris species picture page now.
