Gang,

This Picture taken by Patrick O' Connor Today..

This is a picture of I. fulva that I took today. There were in a roadside ditch about 20 miles east of Baton Rouge. The were in shallow water and full sun. The stand went on for a mile or so.

Robert had asked to see pictures of the species in their native habitat and I have not really had time to look for pictures yet, but would like to return to this topic. There are other reds that occur further south in wooded swamps, so there is no implication that this picture represents their exclusive environment. If anyone want a higher resolution picture or additional views, I will be happy to send them off list.
