Was just out looking at the garden. A week of hard freezes has taken a tremendous toll. The aril iris were in bud and all are mush lying the ground. The juno iris are badly damaged, but at least they flowered. Spuria look the best, pseudacorus the worst. Siberian and louisiana have a few leaves that look OK. All the bearded are soft and mostly lying the ground. This is a disastrous spring! Trees, shrubs, herbaceous perennials ,all are badly damaged or dead. Every lily has melted to mush. Flowering trees and shrubs had all new growth and flower buds killed, they will have to start over from scratch if they can! I hope your gardens have fared better then mine. It makes a grown man cry!
