I would have expected more veining on the falls for virginica. However, if mature leaves have strong central ridge(s) (most likely near the base)  or the leaves are purple near the base, then I might change my guess to I. virginica.

Hmmm... my notion is "some kind of virginica".  But it's so hard to guess just on the flower.  Rhizome size/shape and seedpod size/shape and seeds would also be good indicators.
