The color of
this Ontario brevicaulis is interesting. It seems to have much more red
in it than brevicaulis I have seen from the South, which are almost all in the
blue and lavender range. There was a possible brevicaulis documented in

Perhaps it is a regional variation, and perhaps there has been some past
