Deer Repellant

Janice,

Deer started eating daylily flower buds about 2 weeks ago, here. I
watered my seedling rows and mother plants with egg water and
there's been no further damage. I'm going to water them again,
today, after a week of wet weather.

I used one egg / 4 liters water. Four eggs stirred into a couple
watering cans did about 4 - 40' rows worth, including a short part
of a row of lettuce and beets. I've used the egg water on the
lettuce and beets 3 times in the last six weeks and no deer
damage, no discernable taste when eaten.

This is the first time deer have bothered daylilies so early.
Before they've waited until near the first frosts and have nibbled
seed pods which I then harvested immediately. If the egg water
continues to work I'll wish I would have tried it a few years ago.
