Tom,
         I've only made one cross of this type, using the siberian as the 
pod parent.  The seedlings haven't bloomed yet, but about half of them were 
albino which seems to me a pretty good clue that something is going on 
there.  The cross made a well filled pod.  I'd encourage you to give it a try.
         I've grown Butterfly Fountain and Sibtosa Princess.  Both of them 
seemed to me to be vigorous easy growers, but somehow not all that 
interesting as garden plants.  Of the two I liked Butterfly Fountain 
better, but there didn't seem to me to be much reason to prefer them over 
the parent groups.
