Isn't it a good thing that there's at least
1,000,000 (I hope) good people to every rotter!

additions to the seed exchange Jaime, I attempted to beautify a local artificially restored wetlands park by
planting some virginica var. shrevei and some mixed Louisiana cultivars along
the pond edges. When bloom season came all the gloriously colored
Louisianas got dug up (stolen) by park visitors but the less flamboyant species
are still there and thriving and spreading. In another park pond I did the
same with versicolor and planted them amongst the Acorus and Typhia so that
people would be less likely to steal them. They're doing great! I go
back every spring and see them in bloom. I tried a planting of brevicaulis
but they got severely trampled by fishermen and kids stomping along the pond
edge. |
