Dennis, I have a number of Iris virginica tubs in the ground, so I should see bloom anyway - but didn't want to mess up bloom on the others. Thinking of where the others are, I really see no alternative other than to carefully lift the clumps then put some of the soil into other containers, get the tubs out of where they are, then sink them and replant the Iris. I hope they bloom. Before writing the reply, I thought about taking a flashlight for another look, but when I shined it out the window, I saw some black and white smelly animals that changed my mind.
