If it was me, personally, I'd try to avoid disturbing the roots as much as possible.  OTOH with 8 containers, you're bound to have at least one of them bloom, right?  That's a good dilemma, Mark.  :-/

      They are extremely heavy to drag to the spot.  I know I could lift the plants and then take the soil in multiple trips.  While I know the plants would survive, would that mess up bloom for this spring?  The tubs need to be moved.
