Ken; I am sorry to say I don;t believe it will be
hardy for you. I have tried it and failed but there
may be some trick I don;t know. I beleve it to be zone
8 possibly 7 with luck. There is a very very nice form
available with variegated leaves that is absolutely
stunning. That would be worth the effort as a pot
plant.
