Thanks for the email Mark. I was not familiar with what you are growing, so I looked them up. The Neomarcia looked especially lovely. From: iris-species@yahoogroups.com [mailto:iris-species@yahoogroups.com] Jack, Welcome aboard. I live too far south for most types of Irises. I have two types of Iris virginica, one lone Siberian Iris, Iris domestica and Iris x norrisii, Iris tectorum, and the bearded species Iris albicans. Shown with this message is Iris albicans. Also, I have a few Irids. Growing here are two species of Dietes, several types of Neomarica, one type of Trimezia, Sisyrinchium angustifolium, and Aristea ecklonii. Mark A. I live in Roseburg OR and have a day job that interferes with my gardening. My passion is diploid bearded irises. I have an extensive collection of them that include species, MTBs, and antiques. I grow a lot of other irises too: TBs, spurias, foedessimas, and LAs. Lee Walker has been my mentor. Jack |
