Fillipo; If one looks at the canes of Iris wattii they rise above the ground with a cane that supports at the top a leaf fan which in turn gives rise to a very branched flower stalk. O the other hand Iris japonica has practically no cane with only the leaf fan abd flower stalk, Iris confusa has a short cane and is somewhat intermediate. Iris formosa is intermediate in height between Iris confusa and Iris japonica. I and not familiar with sichuanensis as part of this group of crested Iris and would love to know as much information as you might be able to provide. The true Iris sichuanensis has not been in cultivation but is believed to be a pseudoregelia. Erroneuos plant have been distributed unfer this name. E-mail me privately and I can discuss some sources. Hi all, |
