{Disarmed} Re: borer at this time of year?


In the spring when you try to poison them, they are wee tiny things. By now they are huge and ugly or have become brown pupae. That's one of the reasons August is a good time for transplanting. You can find and squish them before they become moths and lay their eggs for next years crop.    Joan Cooper, Minnesota
