Hi all,
I have been reading all about your tall bearded irises in bloom, but the
first of those I expect to see will be in Dallas.
At this time we shouldn't have any irises in bloom. This normally is the gap
between reticulatas and pumilas. However, the pumilas started about a week
ago and now all the miniature dwarf bearded irises are popping open all over
the public garden in Cleveland. They still haven't started in our home
garden. This is about three weeks early.
Our pumilas APRIL ICE, BUTTONS and BURST OF BLUE were the first to open along
with some seedlings. Now the Hybrid MDBs PIXIE PIRATE, BEACHWOOD BUZZ and
MIDAS MITE are open. There are a lot more with buds just about ready.
