Re: How I did in SFVIS show

Hello List,
What an exciting day we had yesterday. We apprentice judged the show
at SFVIS in the LosAngeles area. Great show and beautiful arrangements and
irises on the show table. Then we drove about 45 minutes to the SCIS show
at the arboretum and viewed their winners and wonderful entries.
Queen - Lady Friend
Best Pink - Pagan Pink
Best Arilbred - Silent Tears
Best Plicata - Blue Staccato
The arrangements were very impressive at both shows. Lots of TBs were used
and they were first class in form and freshness.
Then to top it all off we drove another 45 miles or so to Riverside to
Cal Dixie Iris Gardens to see Herb Holk's seedlings and first blooms of the
season. It was a fantastic, iris filled day. We drove a total of 345
miles but it was well worth it for all the irises we got to view. Seeing
them when they are blooming is what it's all about.
                                                    Steve
