Hi Starlord,
Butter Pecan and Triplet are Definitely NOT litter mates. Butter Pecan is a
Ben Hager 1983 Intermediate from a cross of Picayune X Pepper Mill. It does
have a sister seedling that was also introduced by Hager--Hot Fudge.
Triplet was Introduced in 1988 by Keith Keppel. Its parents are Gigolo sib X
Nazette. The markings on Triplet are supposed to be rosier than the bright
brown markings on Butter Pecan. Butter Pecan won the Sass Medal for
intermediates and is one of the all-time favorites on the Median Iris Society
Symposium.
