First of all let me say I am very new to the Iris community, and likely to
make mistakes. However with that said I am very unhappy with a local
supplier of Historic Iris listed in ROOTS. It is important to me to have
the correct name for the iris, no name and you might as well toss it.
Bought the following last year;
2 'WABASH', 1 had violet self with violet falls, second had pale blue self,
violet falls with wrong shape, pale yellow beard.
1 'MOMENTUM' self and falls may be correct, but beard is white should be
violet.
Had I bought these at a discount store, I would expect mistakes. Is close
good enough? Footnote: I emailed the company 3 weeks ago with no response.
So my question is where do I go to purchase historics with reliable
identifications?
