Gerry, 

I guess it's a case of different strokes (and irises) for different folks
(and climates). I have grown Alpine Lake and Ditto for 8 or 9 years. Alpine
Lake blooms like clockwork every year; Ditto has bloomed twice, and
sparsely, too.
