If you have (access to) a laser printer, the toner is effectively
permanent. I like drafting applique film (the one I have used is MMM
Chartpak, but they seem to be out of the business now--but other brands
are available) rather than laser labels because I know it sticks well.
It runs about $1.00 a sheet, but you can get around 30 labels on a
sheet, or more with smaller fonts. I have not seen it available in small
quantities, but a group order would be a possibility.
I spray paint the markers green, apply the applique, and then spray on a
coat of clear for good measure. They last for years. Eight or nine for
some so far, with no visible fading
