Judy,

Although it is a long way from Kentucky to Utah, and though your bloom
season is somewhat ahead of ours, I am foreseeing the same unusual pattern
of bloom developing here. The first MDB opened about a week ago (pretty
much the normal date for MDBs here); then the first SDB bloomed on
Wednesday (about ten days early), and now I have found stalks about equally
advanced (though not yet in bloom) on IBs, MTBs, TBs, and I. tectorum. It
seems that not only will the iris season be early here this year, but it is
going to be compressed as well with most types of iris blooming almost
simultaneously.
