Re: [iris-tal Melb Flower Show

Dear Wendy, The title Flower Show took my attention because our Iris Chapter
is putting on the iris show at our AIS National Convention in May in Region
3, which is next to us - geographically speaking. I was shocked at having to
pay because our is free for just the show --- to enter or attend --- butg
then I realized Melbourne's was a more specialized affair, like the big ones
here, in philadelphia, Baltimore, Washington, etc which is another ball game
entirely.
I hope you bought /acquired FLASHING KOI You'll love it - it is one of my
favorites and it always wins a blue! What others did you get? Unfortunately,
I didn't get Blyth's catalog this year,
Wish you could come to our Convention! It will really be a nice one, I think
- and I'm getting judges for the show and since they will aready be at the
convention we won't have to pay their expenses, which is a plus for us -- and
I hope will be a good experience for them -- they are coming from the 4
corners of the USA which will really be outstanding! Region 3 in York,
Pennsylvania is putting it on This is on the East Coast, not too far from
Philadelpia or Baltimore - however my garden will not be on tour this time -
IT has been on other national tours, but I just don't have the energy and
help anymore, altho there will be some who "know" the garden who will stop
by, I am sure, either before or after. (There are 2 gardens in Maryland
included in the tour, they are near the Pennsylvania border) Rosalie nr
Baltimore, USA zone 7 where we are getting too much rain! Rain yesterday,
today, tomorrow, ad infinitum! Just wait when we will complain of a drought
this summer!!! ryfigge@aol.com
