Hello Rosalie,
Thank you for confirming my view on the JI , Flashing Koi, it really looks
beautiful in Grosvenors book and Nicholls Ji web page...I managed to get 2,
as my mother also put one in my purchase bag so I am lucky, however I am
trading with Colleen Modra at present, and will give her the other plant as
I have gone a little mad with my Ji puchasing and could run a bit tight on
room. I feel like a gopher/mole at the moment,. constantly digging up
patches of grass to install my new treasures.
I found a new supplier of Ji's , which is great as there arent many people
supplying them over here in Aus, and they have excellent plants, huge
plants, new varieties and terribly reasonable prices, so I bought 12.....I
must be infected with this iris virus badly at the moment..
I aquired many new sorts, but am looking forward to seeing the blooms of
Flying Tiger, Confetti Showers, something Sandman, tag is still
outside....and many more...Luckily for me I have lots of cow manure....and
horses too. Poor Linda Mann, with her foot...We dairy famers have to have
very regular tetanus shots with our jobs hazards....I know how she feels,
mind you I havent ever stood on a nail...Ow.
I have been waiting for my latest purchase to arrive.. no its not a plant.
She turned up after a 5 day trip and isnt in the best of shape, but will be
soon with lots of love and tlc. What is she? A 5 month old loud overo paint
filly foal. Way to young to be away from Mum, but her farm was flooded out.
She is skin and bone and full of worms. The breeder should be shot. I am
looking out at the paddock as I type watching her eat her breakfast full of
milk replacer powder for baby foals and she looks like she is in heaven. So
not only do I have my garden, calves and husband Don, who is feeling a bit
left out at the moment...to care for..but a new four legged baby called
Kayenta. She has been busy watching me dig holes in the ground and I am sure
she thinks I am mad too...Bye for now, must get back to the
digging...Regards Wendy Sargeant, Aus Zone 8-9ish,, when it ever rains
again.
